What is creative life coaching?

If you are in a creative profession, an artist, or just want to get in touch with your natural creative side, I can help guide you towards the life you envision. I help employ exercises in journaling, movement, mindfulness, and whatever suits your life best to create a container to optimize your life. I will help guide you to your own innate wisdom and unique strengths. We will rewrite your negative mental and emotional patterns to release movement and positive change.

This time can be used for professional, personal, or specific artistic goals. With over a decade of teaching experience in visual and performance art and a lifetime of artistic exploration I have gathered techniques and skills to balancing a creative life and hope to share this knowledge and encouragement with you…

I work with people who  hope to “do more art” and don’t know where to start,  creative professionals seeking inspiration and moving through a block, and people who seek to “get clear” on what they want from life. If this sounds like you, I have tools to help:  journaling, forming healthy habits, and therapeutic art techniques will move you towards a clearer vision of where you see yourself. Creating anything new involves a deep letting go. I acknowledge that this isn’t always the most comfortable place to be, and can walk this nonlinear path alongside you.

As an artist myself, I have worked in an array of media, and I started off in clay. I know that what works in one moment,  may not be ideal for the next, because creativity is fluid. For the process to work, we must be malleable when it comes to finding unconscious language.

I have taught and led Art and Yoga classes for over a decade to an array of groups and individuals.  I truly believe that each human, no matter your background or age, is fully capable of self expression. The “creative” self lives in our intuition, far from the logical brain where we think we should be. We explore what art media works best for you in the moment and we investigate where your blockages are. In a safe and held space, we practice letting go of self and socially imposed judgements and expectations. We will rewrite the narratives that hold you back from living at your greatest capacity.

I am a visual and performance artist with an MFA in Studio Art from Mills College and background as an NCAA athlete, Yogini, and dancer. I have my 500 ERYT, Niroga Transformative Life Skills Training from Niroga Institute in Oakland, CA, and am Restorative Yoga Certified .
